Former Florida State standout safety - and Rhodes Scholar - Myron Rolle announced on Twitter Tuesday he had worked out for and signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The move could be in anticipation of Will Allen's release at the start of the league year March 13.

Rolle signing with the team isn't what's newsworthy about him, though.

Rolle played three seasons at Florida State, having graduated with a degree in exercise science (and a 3.75 grade-point average) in just 2.5 years. Although he was draft-eligible in 2009, he instead decided to further his education by studying at prestigious Oxford University in England.
