College of Idaho graduate named Rhodes Scholar

Amanda Frickle, a 2012 graduate of The College of Idaho, is one of 32 Americans to be named a Rhodes Scholar this year. Marking the seventh C of I graduate to win the oldest and most celebrated international fellowship award in the world.

Frickle graduated with a bachelor's degree in history and political economy and served as student body president during the 2011-2012 academic year. Frickle was one of the nearly 200 national finalists for the award.

Rhodes Scholars have achieved success at the highest levels of public service, scientific research, writing, law and other fields. Frickle plans to pursue a career in social justice advocacy and will attend the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom as part of the Class of 2013.
