Two Princetonians are among the 32 Americans selected for the 2011 Rhodes Scholarship. Nick DiBerardino ’11 and Mark Jia ’10 will both receive full funding to study for the next two to three years at Oxford, the Rhodes Trust announced early Sunday morning. In addition, Mohit Agrawal ’11 was awarded one of 12 Mitchell Scholarships to study for a year at the National University of Ireland, Galway, according to a statement released by the Mitchell Scholars Program on Sunday.

DiBerardino, a music major from Westport, Conn., plans to earn a master’s degree in music composition at Oxford.

The Rhodes announcement came less than one week after he learned that he had won a Marshall Scholarship, which would have funded two years of study at the Royal College of Music in London. Because the Rhodes Trust mandates that recipients accept the scholarship, DiBerardino had to turn down the Marshall Scholarship.
