Oxford University Society Elections

AARS member Aly Kassam-Remtulla (Alberta & Balliol '99) elected to OUS Board

Aly Kassam-Remtulla, Dr Jonathan Weiss, Dr Helen Wright and Katie Gray were elected from among the 11 well-qualified alumni nominated for the four open positions on the Board of the Oxford University Society. We are very pleased to welcome them to the Board and would also like to extend thanks to the other nominees for taking part.

The Society is an organisation within the University under Council for bringing together alumni of the University and encouraging and coordinating their support for the University. Whilst the Society's President is the Chancellor, Lord Patten, the direction and control of the Society is exercised, under Council, by the Board of Trustees, consisting of eight external and eight internal members.

The Board is responsible for directing the business of the Society and for providing advice and support to the Director of Alumni Relations, who also acts as Secretary to the Society.
