Santa Clara University receives $1 million donation from Rhodes scholar's family

The family of Arthur Hull Hayes Jr., who was Santa Clara University's first Rhodes scholar in 1955 and later a commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, donated $1 million to the University.  Hayes died at the age of 76 in February 2010.  To read the entire San Jose Mercury News story, please click here.

Our Mission

The mission of AARS is to bring Rhodes Scholars in America together in support of the Rhodes Scholarship, its values, and Oxford University through events, publications, networks and the web.
