Rhodes scholar Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) celebrated International Pi Day Monday, in honor of the geometry ratio often cited as 3.14 (March 14, of course) by serving apple pie in his Washington office.

“While pi goes on and on forever, it’s irrational for us to let our budget woes experience that same fate,” Himes said in a statement. “The longer we wait to fix the budget, the more ground we lose on our key priorities."
