Eric Greitens might best be introduced by a quote from his book, "The Heart and the Fist: The Education of a Humanitarian, the Making of a Navy SEAL":

"They [wounded and disabled veterans] had to know that we viewed them not as problems, but as assets; that we saw them not as weak, but as strong. They had to know that we were glad they were home, that we needed their strength here at home, that we needed them to continue to serve here at home."

Greitens, a Rhodes Scholar and former Navy SEAL, is the founder of "The Mission Continues," a nonprofit organization that empowers wounded veterans to return to their communities and to continue their service to their country.

Greitens will be in Montclair later this month for two events, a benefit dinner at the Montclair Art Museum and a program at Montclair State University for its veterans enrolled under the post-9/11 GI Bill.

Greitens, CEO of The Mission Continues, will speak at both events.
