Maurice Jones Will Be VWC Commencement Speaker

Maurice Jones, the new deputy secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will deliver the keynote address during Virginia Wesleyan College's 43rd Commencement Ceremony on May 14. Jones will also be the recipient of an honorary degree from VWC. Jones was the president of Pilot Media and publisher of the Virginian-Pilot prior to joining the Obama administration in his new role this month. He was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and a graduate of the University of Virginia law school.
