Cory Booker to speak at Washington U. commencement

The mayor of Newark, N.J., who has won national acclaim for revitalizing the city will be the featured speaker at Washington University's commencement next month.

Cory Booker was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine. He is a Rhodes Scholar and Yale law graduate, and will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree at the Washington University commencement on May 17.

About 2,800 students are expected to graduate.
