AARS moves back to Vienna VA
Effective March 10, 2008, AARS returned its administrative support to Vienna, VA. We are pleased to welcome back Joyce Knight, whom many of you know from our previous association! Joyce will provide front office support for AARS and will staff the Bon Voyage Weekend and Board and Committee activities. When you call our phone number, Joyce will most likely greet you.
In addition, we have retained Shela Qamer to provide membership coordination services. Shela brings considerable experience from George Mason, School of Management, where she served as Executive Program Assistant. Shela will update our Rhodes database, including our member and subscriber database, and will serve as webmaster for www.americanrhodes.org .
Finally we have retained Alexander Randolph Inc., a respected financial services firm in Reston, VA. Robert Krueger and the ARI team will provide accounts receivable, account payable, financial reporting and tax services to AARS.
The move from Association Associates Inc. back to Vienna was necessitated by AAI's need to cover costs well in excess of what they had estimated when they contracted to provide association management services to us. AARS was unwilling to increase its fixed monthly service fee to the extent required by AAI. We will miss Joanne Gerow who served as Executive Director since mid June, 2007.
