AARS Pittsburgh Reception

Selection Committee and local Rhodes Scholars

Announcement: AARS and Vishwajit Nimgaonkar (India & Balliol '81) are hosting the 2007 District IX Selection Committee (Ohio & Virginia) and local Rhodes Scholars for an informal reception at the alumni offices of the University of Pittsburgh. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served; soft drinks and light refreshments will be available. There will be a modest charge for the food and beverages.

Report: Over a dozen alumni, including several members of the Selection Committee gathered for conversing, connecting and sharing a light dinner. The most senior alumni, Harry Burnett (MA & Queen’s ’52), and the youngest Meg Gleason (KY & Brasenose ’99) shared stories and experiences in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Stew Early (PA & Brasenose ’66) thanked Vish Nimgaonkar (India & Balliol ’81) for making many of the arrangements and discussed AARS, its strategy and programs. At the end of the evening, four alumni were still going strong.
